On our recent vacation out to Clitherall Lake, near Fergus Falls, MN, we went for walk with Ella, Emmeline, & Ezra riding their bikes. We found a nice paved bike trail to go on. Unfortunately as we we going - about 1/2 mile or more away - one of Ezra's training wheels falls off. We search and find it and the washer/bolt needed to put it back on and keep going. Well it happens a second time. We find the it again and decide to head back with Tom walking beside Ezra on his bike to keep him from riding on the loose training wheel. On the way back, we discuss getting another bike. We've never seen boy bikes in good condition at garage sales. So when we get back to the park area, Tom takes off to Walmart to get Ezra a new bike while the rest of us play at the park.
(Which you can see pictures of our vacation here at our picasa web album).
When Tom gets back, Ezra comes up to the van as Tom is getting the bike out of the back. Tom asks Ezra, "What do you see, Ezra?" Ezra's response - "A Dicker!" Tom at this point was removing the price tag sticker off the bike. Then when the bike was placed on the ground, the next thing Ezra notices is that the screw is back on the training wheel. It's not until he's actually riding his new bike that he finally realizes that it's new!

It is fun to see Ezra's new bike. What a cute story about him and the "sticker."
Also, Bill and I enjoyed the many pictures you posted. We had not seen the Maplewood or Phelps Mill shots.
