Yesterday was a busy day. First off, we were out of milk. So after the kids were up and changed out of Pj's we headed to the grocery store here in town to get some milk & cereal before breakfast. Tom was out of town, so it wasn't an option for me to just run, so the kids came with me. We came back and enjoyed some new cereal. Then I set out the trash & recycle stuff. The girls helped me fold the laundry that had sat on our living room couch for too long. Then a few more chores and some playtime and the morning was gone. Time for lunch.
As soon as that was done, Ezekiel & Zemirah were dropped off at our house for me to watch for about 3 hours until their oldest sister was home from school could come and get them. I met with Mary during the kids quiet/nap time. My kids were in their usual spots, Zemirah slept in a pack n play and Ezekiel sat very quietly on a couch and looked at books. When Mary left, I had 4 more kids dropped off at my house to be watched for 4 hours till supper time when their mom would come and pick them up. And of all things! It RAINED! So no playtime in our nice fenced in back yard. Plan B - snack time and then pull a huge tub of crayons, scrap paper and let them color & cut. It worked for awhile and kept them occupied for about 45 minutes. Then playtime for awhile. Ezekiel & Zemirah were picked up. Then for the last 30 minutes of the others time here I read books to them - which occupied 2 of them & 2 of my kids.
After they left, I fixed supper for Ezra & Elise and got Ella & Emmeline ready for our outing with Tom and some others for church. We went to a church in Watertown to watch a dinner theatre production from Wycliffe Bible Translators. We enjoyed a Thai meal of rice/coconut milk/chicken w/ veggies. The play was very well done and told the story of a missionary couple & an Asian man and their tale of their missionary work. If you ever have a chance to see it - it's worth it!
