Well, that big 15 inch snowfall we had back at Christmas & then more snow in January piled on it, as well as even more snow fell in early February - is finally starting to melt away this last week. I took a short 20 min walk this afternoon since it was so nice out (33 degrees) with Eliza on my back in the backpack carrier. Even though it's melting - there's still a good 2 feet of snow piled up along the north side of the street. Lots of it melts in the street drains, but quite a bit also melts & flows into our driveway. So this afternoon Tom dug a ditch into the snow to let the water drain off of our driveway into our yard. Ezra had fun "helping" Daddy. He said that it was hard work. But I'm sure that he liked it.
Ella & Emmeline found some buds that had fallen off a tree in front of our house. Those buds are in a glass with water and sitting on our table for decoration. Ella also added some grass that she found. She commented that she wanted to pick some grass for the decoration because it had been so long since she had seen any. I think we all get a little tired of winter by the time February ends and March begins.

I'm with you, Elaine. We are so very ready for the white stuff to go and the green stuff to come! Strange it is to be thrilled at having the edges of the street be little streams of water and to have it feel good to drive with the window down when it's 36 degrees! Come, Spring!!! We are ready!
