Ezra, being an active little boy, has had numerous tumbles, bumps, and falls. A couple of weeks before Christmas he took a tumble that actually knocked his front tooth loose. You can read about it
here. He finally got the tooth pulled this past Thursday, Jan. 15th. The appt went well. He got to wear some cool green sunglasses, so that the bright lights didn't bug him. They let him have some "drinks" from the water sprayer (this was another way they distracted him from the needle). They used a Q-tip & put "jelly" (a gum numbing prep stuff) on his gum. Then they gave him "sleepy juice" (shot with numbing in it). Then came the pulling. Ezra said "ouch" multiple times, but I don't think it really hurt, but probably felt fairly strange to him. He got to take his tooth home and got 2 stickers & 2 prizes of a little car & a pencil to take home with him. Tom asked Ezra that evening if he'd want to go get another tooth pulled in order to get another car prize. And Ezra said, Yah! Today he told me and Grandma that he wants to be a dentist. He'll be toothless for at least a year, maybe 2 years before his permanent tooth comes in.
