Snow play

Eliza is pictured here asleep in the bouncy seat. This is where she spends most of her time during the day when she's not eating or being held. She's about 5 weeks old in this picture. The next picture is of Ezra taking a nap on his carefully arranged sleeping quarters on the floor. He's seen Ella & Emmeline roll their blankets to put on their beds. And so that's what he did and lined up 3 rolled blankets around his "bed". Also he's snuggling with his beloved "blue guy".

It did snow about 3-4 inches on Friday evening. So the kids enjoyed playing in it yesterday afternoon and this afternoon. Ezra buzzes around the snow with his big dump truck & front loader. Ella likes to scoop snow off the deck with a shovel. Emmeline collects stuff, like the tiny pine cones off the Christmas tree that's been laying in our backyard since Christmas. Elise wanders around looking like a pink puff marshmallow in her snowsuit. She also likes to squeeze into a swing for a ride. Which yesterday she got "stuck" in the toddler swing in the sandbox area. It took Ella, Emmeline & Ezra to get her out and they finally just tipped the swing up and back and until Elise fell out/got dumped out upside down. It didn't seem to bother her because she got up right away to play.

While they're out playing, I try to get some project done. Yesterday it was ironing. Today it was baking some chocolate chip banana muffins & mini-loaves for supper and a snack that Tom needed to take to the growth group that he leads Sunday evenings down in Lester Prairie.

More news from the North! Thanks for your several updates lately, Elaine. Besides seeing the pictures, which are truly worth a thousand words, I got a kick out of Ezra's sleeping arrangement and what each child likes to do outside in the snow. Elise in the swing was funny to read.:)
