Cheap fixes

Tom was in the cities Sat. afternoon to watch the new movie "Fireproof" with several others from our church. This movie is a Christian movie produced by the same church that did "Facing the Giants". Tom says it's an excellent movie & he & I are going to see it this Sat. The movie has to be really good, if Tom wants to go back a 2nd time to see it!
Anyway, since he was already in the cities, he thought he'd go and get some new glasses. The place he went to ended up being able to fix his glasses for only $10.50! That's a whole lot cheaper than an eye exam plus new frames/lenses.
The other cheap fix we did was our double stroller. It had blown a tire toward the end of last summer and had a few other little things broken on it. When we went to the garage sales in Lester Prairie on the 20th of Sept, we found a free double stroller exactly like the one we had. The free one had a bad tire and was faded from the Sun, but otherwise appeared in good condition. So we squashed it into our already full minivan. The next day Tom was able to fit the good tire from our old one onto the free one. So now we have a fixed working double stroller for free!
Now if only our upstairs bathtub & kitchen sink pipe could be fixed as cheap . . . . .

Elaine, you tell short, appealing stories about your family. Hearing about the cheap fix for Tom's glasses and the stroller drew me into both family events. Ending with the bathroom and kitchen hinted at another story for another time. It was a interesting way to end. Well said. May our Lord provide to you.
