Raking the Leaves

We had 2 really nice days here on Wed & Thurs. The temps were in the upper 50's/lower 60's. All the snow is melted - which is quite early for Minnesota. Usually it's not all melted until sometime in April. We spent tons of time outdoors, since it was so nice. Since we now have a pickup, we finally took care of all our leaves that from last fall. It was alot of raking, and about half of the leaves were icky wet. But now at least we don't have to worry about killing our grass off.

On Wed., the kids were outside from 9am till 5:30pm with only a 30 minute lunch break. It helped to get rid of the cabin fever. On Thursday, after all the leaves were taken care of, we went for a walk to one of the parks here in town and let the kids play there for about an hour before heading home for supper.

Today it was back to normal routine and normal cool Minnesota (temps back in the 30's). We finished Pocahontas: Indian Princess, and so now will move on to The Courage of Sarah Noble. After that will be The Matchlock Gun, and then a couple of books about George Washington.
