cold weather

Well, it didn't snow here, so no blowing snow to deal with. But the wind was blowing and the temp. didn't warm up too much. High of 3 and tonight, already at 9pm our thermometer is reading -12. Brrrrr! It's suppose to be even colder tomorrow (It won't even get above 0 tomorrow) and Sunday.
We're thankful for a furnace that works and a warm house to be in.
This morning was playtime with Daddy (it was his day at home today). Books were read, pretend games played. Later in the morning the kids played with playdough, which they'd been asking to do for several weeks.
This afternoon we did an unusual event, we went into the cities again, and got our picture taken at Sam's Club with an "Old Time Photographer". They were running a special and in 3 weeks we'll go back and pick out our photo. The girls looked so cute in their lacy dresses, hats and beaded necklaces. Ezra and Tom were handsome in their vests and hats.
After the photo shoot we went to Kohl's and checked out their clearance racks & pick up a few clothing items for me. Then on to Target where I had my stack of coupons ready; even then I was pretty slow on getting the shopping done. But satisfied with the savings we walked out with.
Home to a quick supper and off to bed for the kids.
