Last night we had Campbell's chicken noodle soup & homemade corn bread for supper. Ella tasted the soup and declared "This is better than macaroni and cheese!" Wow, I thought - she must really like to say something like that. She even requested it again for lunch today, but instead we had leftovers. Unfortunately not all the kids that it was a great hit, Emmeline needed some extra convincing to finish her soup.
Today - the couch is clear of laundry! Another victory in the area of household duties! Now to only keep it that way. When laundry comes up - it hopefully now will get folded before the day's end.
Dishes are still going well - done after every meal.
We spent some time outside in the front yard this afternoon. Elise even got some rides in the sled with Ella down our little hill. Each time they went down I could hear Elise say "Wheeeee!" A word she's picked up on from the older ones. Emmeline & Ezra shared the other sled and had fun going down on their stomachs, facing backwards, or whatever suited their fancy.
Ella's definitely catching on now to the ferris wheel song with blended the 1st consonant and the vowel together. Doing the Consonant clusters today was fairly easy. Next week she'll start to read her first book.
